The world trembles, and only a handful of determined warriors stand ready to defend her. The wolf howls, and you must answer the call. Man or monster? That is your burden, your curse—and your blessing. You are Garou, a monster made flesh, a creature of myth and legend born of ancient bloodlines that predate recorded history: werewolf. As a natural shapeshifter, you are caught between two worlds, a paradox of man and beast, and drawn into a struggle older and more vital than any other conflict the world has ever known. When human, you are much like other people, no smarter, faster, or stronger; but when you change, you become monstrously, terrifyingly furious, capable of wreaking terrible violence on all those who oppose you…and sometimes even on those who call you friend. And that is the question that plagues all your days and nights: When Will You Rage?
Werewolf: The Apocalypse
Werewolf: The Apocalypse (WTA) is a roleplaying game, in which everyone cooperates to tell stories in a shared world. One player takes on the role of Storyteller, while the others create characters to portray in that world—vampires, living secretly within modern society. Players gather at games and act as their characters in a theatrical, play-like setting. The Storyteller describes the setting and controls the actions of any non-player characters.
Werewolves are supernatural creatures, neither truly human nor wolf, and yet both. They are inhumanly powerful creatures and yet they are connected deeply to the spiritual world; they are strongly mystical in nature and philosophy, and yet possessed of a primal urge so deep and so terrible that they can sometimes rage out of control, becoming a danger to friend and foe alike. And they are caught up in an epic conflict for the very survival of the world itself, against monstrously evil foes…or so they claim.
Mind's Eye Theatre: Werewolf: The Apocalypse
“Howl, howl, howl, howl! O! you are men of stones: Had I your tongues and eyes, I’d use them so That heaven’s vaults should crack!”
— Shakespeare, King Lear (V.iii)
Built from the ground up for the Live Action Roleplaying environment, Mind’s Eye Theatre: Werewolf The Apocalypse reinvents the classic game for the modern gamer. MET: WTA will bring Garou players new rules, new setting material, and new art unlike any LARP product previously released for the game line.
This product will be compatible with Mind’s Eye Theatre: Vampire The Masquerade, allowing Storytellers to build robust chronicles like never before.
